Updating Virtual Machine server credentials

Im really newby on this.

I just updated the credentials of Virtual machine servers on Netbackup. after this i receive a message stating that daemons and processes should be restarted on netbackup server and Media servers involved. its possible to do this without rebooting the server ? how can i do this? can i "suspend" and "resume" running jobs during the restart process not affecting the running backups?

My netbackup server is running on a Linux machine and the media server is a Windows server .

regards

The message is normal and is unfortunately displayed whether it is really needed or not. Is the media server used as VMware backup host? If so, this is the only place where NBU may need to be restarted. If you can browse VMs afterwards, all is good.
