Upgrade Vmware 6.7 U1

Hi All,

We have Netbackup 8.1 and VMware 6.7.

We want to upgrade Vmware 6.7 to 6.7 Update 1. I see Netbackup 8.1 is support this version of VMware.

Is there any other necessary steps before upgrade? What you guys suggest for this upgrade?

Should we add some patch or binary before this upgrade?

You need to check carefully which features you expect to use.

...and follow @Marianne link to the SCL... browse scroll to VMware and look at 8.1 and 8.1.1 and 8.1.2 and see how each of those three NetBackup versions has a different version of VDDK baked in.

Why am I pointing this out to you ?

Because you may be considering your upgrade to VMware 6.7 U1 because you want to leverage a specific feature... but be careful... whilst NetBackup 8.1 does in general support VMware 6.7 U1 you need to be mindful that the VDDK v6.5.1 might not support the features that you need from VDDK v6.5.3...

...so...

...you therefore also need to read the VDDK release notes.
