Master server: Win2008R2 NBU:7.0.1

Media server's:Win2008R2 NBU:7.0.1

Hi All,

I have upgraded NBU 6.5.6 to 7.0.1 on my exchange server with Win 2008R2 64 bit OS. Installation completed successfully with out any errors. After the installation i have tried to open BAR window in client, it's not opening and it's throwing the error as "The program cann't start because libnbbase.dll is missing. Try re-installing this program to fix this problem". Backup also getting failed with 13 error code. So we have removed the old veritas folder and NetBackup entry in Registry and tried re-installing of NBU version. Again we are getting the same error. kindly suggest on this.

Set up a bpcd log on this client just to see if there is communication - 7.0.1 is susceptable to FQDN issues with Master, Media and Client names

Also make sure you are logged in as an admin and right click "run as administartor" when running the BAR GUI (we all love 2008!!)

Next, again loving 2008, check that the firewall is tuned off and not blocking NBU communications

Hi Guys,

Thank you for the above idea's.

As per the analyse of nbwin logs by my vendor, they suggested a API to install in the Exchange client. I will update how it goes after API installaion.
