Upgrading Netbackup server hardware

I am looking to move our NetBackup 6.5 to a new server on the network.  Can anyone provide a link to the whitepapers or provide somewhat detailed instructions?

As the needs and requirements for a NetBackup environment change, it may be necessary to migrate the NetBackup catalog information from one Master Server or platform to another or to combine two or more NetBackup domains to form a single domain.

While migration and merging is possible, NetBackup Support does not have the necessary resources and experience to properly execute this process.  NetBackup Support can assist in restoring the data back to the same original platform in the event of a failed attempt, but is not equipped to assist in these sorts of activities.  To insure data integrity and seamless operation, operations of this type must be performed by Symantec Consulting Services.

It's easy to move Master server to the server with the same hostame, OS, architecture. This proceure simply will look like recovery (http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/303056.htm) otherwise you have to connect Symantec Consulting Services.
Good luck!

If you are maintaining the same name, it is fairly straightforward.  It is officially documented in the 6.5 Troubleshooting Guide under Disaster Recovery.  Take your current server offline,  install your OS on your new box, install Netbackup and then perform a catalog restore.  I did this a few months ago and it was painless.  Changing the name of your master server is not supported however.  If you need to do that, Symantec will do it for you... for a price.
