I have never done a persistent binding.
But i have heard that SANsurfer that comes on in the drivers CD of the can be used for persistent bindings

Use the SANsurfer HBA Manager to do the persistent binding, you may download the user guide from qlogic on how to do it. It quite pretty straight forward.....
Basically, you have to associate a target ID with the world wide nodename and world wide port name of the target device so that the OS will not assign a different target ID whenver it being rebooted.
