We have NetBackup policy configured for VM hosts . We are backing up 26 VM hosts via one policy .
All the VM hosts configured ( total 26 ) in Netbackup VM policy is failing intermittently with error code 4239.(Unable to find the virtual machine).
If we restart backup backups completes for all 26 VM hosts .Can you please suggest wht could be the issue.?

If you've not set any limits the 26 snapshots would be performed at the same time. This might be putting a strain on your vcenter, esx, datastore etc.
Check in vCenter if there are any errors at the time of backup that relate to snapshot creation.

Hi Riaan,
Thanks for reply .To address that issue ,we have limited the number of jobs per policy. Will that be of any help ?
VM team says no issue found from vCenter end.

If it the reduction in streams resolve it, you'll know :)
If not, check out the bpfis logs on the backup host.

I think that Resource Limit in Host Properties on the master should be used rather than policy limits.
Other than bpfis, check VxMS on Backup Host as well after next failure.
