VM restore from Incremental backup

Hi Experts,

I have recent incremental backups on july 5 and july 4 and full backup on july 3. I want july 5 version of VM. How do i select the vmdk file in java BAR console in netbackup. Can i select only july 5 incremental(such that it will automatically select july 3 full backup) or do i have to restore july 3 full backup first continued by july 5 incremental backup.

Select 'inclusively' the most recent full before 5th July, and then 'shift select' the 5th July... and so a range of dates is selected... and restore... and NetBackup will work out what to do.

I doesn't allow me to select both. It allows me select either full backup(July 3) or incremental backup(July 5).

Apologies - but I don't have a vSphere based test system to hand.

Can anyone else help?

Just select the incremental and restore it. NetBackup figures out what to do.
