Hi Team,
We got a request for VM restore from server team. We performed Full backup restore and requested server team to bring the server online for incremental.
Server Team replied us that the VM is brought online, but they mentioned the VM in 2003 OS and requested for 2008 Server. We had a discussion with server Team and got clarified the OS upgrade happened after 4 days from the Full backup . We didnt have Full backup for the VM after OS Ugrade.
Opened a call with symantec and they sugeested to go for below procedure.
We perfromed 2003 VM restore and requested server Team to perfrom inplace OS upgrade and restored the incremental backupfrom the full backup date.
Everything is fine ( becoz we didnt get any complaint )
