Hi Everyone,
I just upgraded to Netbackup 7.5 for the new VMWare features. I was able to successfully perform a VMWare application backup of a SQL 2008 R2 on a Windows 2008 R2 server. However, I opened the Netbackup 7.5 SQL Client on this client to perform a restore and the restore fails. Below is the only error that I see so far in the dbclient log. Any ideas?
<16> VxBSABeginVMFileListRestore: Failure getting base image time
VM environment is ESX 4.0.0
Thank you,
Mark

Hi Marianne,
I found the issue. During the restore process, I was using the shortname of the client for SQL host instead of the FQDN of the client. After entering the FQDN during the restore, everything worked perfectly.
Thanks,
Mark

Can you see in dbclient log if successful comms with master server has been established?
Can you see client connection/restore request in bprd log on master?
