VMWare and HyperV NBU Backup

Hello,

Good Day!

i need you help and advise somehow i'm cnfussed

i want to backup VMware HOST and VM how i can i achive this goal.

Note:

based to my kwnolage i can did as below..

1. Integrate VMware Host with NBU "Agent less' then backup all vm as file

2. Install NBU Agent for each VM and create policy

i need more informeation about NBU snapshot and what the diffrent between NBU snapshot and Storge snapshot

I have moved this post to NetBackup forum as your query does not seem to be related to NetBackup Appliance.

If you are new to VMware and Hyper-V backups, I strongly suggest that you download the relevant manuals and at a minimum read through the 1st 2 chapters of the docs.

This will give you a good introduction and overview of how the agent backups work - including diagrams.

A storage snapshot is done by the storage system on lun/volume, some times it can be integrate into the virtualization platform snapshot system.

For hyper-V this requires that the system has a VSS provider.

Look at the Replication Director and Snapshot Client manuals for supported setups for storage snapshots
