Hello All,

I am using NBU 7.5.0.3 Master server on Windows server 2008 Operating System.

NetBackup - 7.5.0.3

Masterserver & VMware Backup Host - Windows server 2008 (Automount disabled)

Back end storage -NetApp

Backup's on LAN are working fine.

I wanted to configure all VMware backups on SAN how should i zone the storage to the backup host .

Should i zone the storage ports with  the backup server directly.

Or

Zone the Esxi servers with Backup server.

Thanks,

NBU for VMware over SAN requires only Zoning of datastore LUNs to backuphost.

Do not MOUNT THEM OR INITIALIZE THEM ELSE YOU WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR GUEST VMS

As i said Only zoning of Datastore (not esxi servers)

Hope you got catch

the luns that are presented to ESX host needs to zone  to the backup host.

in other words, zoning is required for the storage luns to ESX host and also to backup host.
