does it vmware policy type?

if yes...

does the Data stoare have enough space on ?

My guess would be a memory issue on the media server as the cause of the system call failed.

Does the event log on the media server show anything at time of the error ?

A way to migate that could be to limit the number of concurrent VM backups either in limit resources or the policy

The standard questions: Have you checked: 1) What has changed. 2) The manual 3) If there are any tech notes or VOX posts regarding the issue

@Mohankumar,

How do you backup your VMware? Fibre Channel or Network (nbd)?

Are you able to verify ESX credential and connectivity from Admin console?

Are you able to jquery your VM from your VMware Policy?

Have you apply all credentials required for VMware backup?

Please check space again on the VM that is failing and confirm that bpbrm log folder exists on the media server for further troubleshooting..
