I'm using Netbackup 7.6 and i'm able to take backup of all VMs running on ESXi 5.5. I have added vCenter administrator credentials in NetBackup administration console. But whenever i try to restore any VM on any ESXi host (total 3) it gives me following errors. All the shared disks are online.

FC SAN? Or iSCSI SAN?
There are lots of different causes for status 2820:
https://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#q=netbackup+error+2820
.
Probably best if you work your way through some of the tech notes, in an effort to determine what your problem is, but just as importantly... also what your problem is not.

Someone else was getting 2820 recently, which (at this stage) appears as if it may be a configuration issue:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/error-2820-vmware-policy-restore
.
Maybe you are choosing SAN for your restore method? But, you backup policy has SAN, NBD and hotadd allowed - and maybe the SAN connectivity isn't working too for backups, and maybe you haven't spotted that, so maybe the backup is sucessful via NBD... and so maybe the restore would be successful via NBD?
.
Or, are you trying to restore to a USB device? If so, see this:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/error-2820-restoring-vmware-virtual-server-usb-attached-device

Apologies, but there are so many different causes of status 2820. May be you could help be telling us a little bit more about your setup, topology, connectivity, versions, backup policy settings, restore job parameters/settings? Perhaps also show us the activity monitor log of the original successful backup that you are trying to restore from, which might help us understand your environment a little better. Thanks.

I'm using SAN, and i'm VMware admin only. I'm able to restore some VMs but getting error on many. I don't know what could be the issue as some VMs are able to be restored but many are getting errors. The error comes while creation of VM during restoration process.
