I'm getting this error while restoring a VM in NB7.5.0.6.

How are you backing up, SAN / LAN? How are you restoring SAN / LAN?

Please check your vCenter account permissions.

ii is that your backup host and media server are same?

what is the version of backup host/media server?

are you using the SAN or NBD recovery?

post the logs of bpvmutil form the backup host..?

Hi ,

Backup is running through hotadd and restore also with hotadd.

Master and media servers are seprate , Master server is a phsical server and Media server is a virtual server.

VCenter permissions are correct....

Master and media server are seprate ... both are running NBU 7.7.0.6 with Win 2K8 64bit

Using hotadd for recovery...

Neeraj, please enable the <install_path>\Veritas\NetBackup\logs\bpvmutil log.
Open the Backup, Archive, and Restore (BAR) GUI on the VMware Backup Host.
Select File > NetBackup Client Properties > Troubleshooting.
Set GENERAL=2, VERBOSE=5
Click OK and close the BAR GUI.

Re-create the error and put the bpvmutil log up here as an attachment.
