Hi Vinayak,

Your problem could be this "Critical bpbrm (pid=107142) from client IP: snapshot delete returned status 1"

is this new setup ? If so, then verify following permissions

Snapshot management(State for vSphere 5.0)
        Create snapshot
        Remove Snapshot
        Revert to snapshot

Hi Pats729,

is this new setup ?  YES

If so, then verify following permissions : We have all the permission as requested by Veritas Technote.

https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.TECH130493

Also below mention permission are there.

Snapshot management(State for vSphere 5.0)
        Create snapshot
        Remove Snapshot
        Revert to snapshot

Hello,

investigate on VMware side. Test if you can create/delete snapshot directly in vSphere console and if not, what is the VMware message.

Probably something like Consolidate Disks action is required.

Michal

Hi Michel

We are able to create/delete snapshot directly in vSphere console.

Hi Vinayak,

I think this is caused by permission issues anyway.

As per https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.TECH130493, the permissions listed are the minimum needed for Basic vSphere Environment:

"These are the minimum required permissions that have been found to be sufficient in the tests performed by VERITAS for a basic vSphere environment.  The permissions are best propagated downwards from the root of the vSphere level.  Additional privileges might be required if advanced features are in use"

If that is an advanced vSphere, you'll pretty much need admin rights.

Hope this helps

Regards

A.
