a collegue recently upgraded our netbackup installation frrom 6.0 to 6.5.1 . Since that time tapes valuting back in are broken..
What happened was that after the upgrade all the offsite tapes had a vault return date of the upgrade date.
and we stated to receive large shipments of tapes back into the data centre.
I tried to resolve this using the vltoffsitemedia comand and manually set all the return dates to something sensible.
the vltoffsitemedia list command showed that the tapes had nice looking dates.
however .... our daily vault in report is not reporting any tapes to come in from offsite,. so it appears to be
ignoring the vault return date set in the database.
our vaulting out of the system still worked just fine....
any suggestions would be very helpfull
