Veritas Netbackup 7.7.1- how many media servers?

Hello,

 

Can somone please tell me How many media servers we can connect to one master Servers ?

 

Can Somone please help me on this ?

There are no hard limits, but Best Practice doc says:

• Number of media servers not to exceed 100.

This Best Practice doc is for NBU 7.6 but can also be used for NBU 7.7:

Thanks for Quick reply Marianne.

There are 4 media servers connected to one Master server and we added one more new media server.

After adding the new media server Backup started failing for one policy with error 4239

How can we fix this ?

Please someone reply on this.

Have you added and tested credentials for the new media server?

Have you verified network connectivity to VM environment?

This seems to be the problem:
