Veritas Netbackup 8.1.1

I upgraded one of our master servers to 8.1.1 and something i've noticed is that when running a job it looks like it completes in the details of the job but the job still shows as active in the GUI.  Then and image cleanup is run after even though the jobs still shows active in the GUI.

Ok this seemed to work for me.

1. Stop all Netbackup services
2. Check if any service is hung or stale using bpps. If yes kill that service.
3. Run following command:bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache
4. Start Netbackup services again and login to console.
5. Run a test job and see the status

Sometimes some NetBackup services/daemons can take a little while to stop.  And, IMO, a few should never really be stopped manually, e.g. the Sybase ASA relational database service then I would think twice before killing that service.
