Very slow performance retrieving client properties in 7.1

I recently created a new NBU 7.1 server. It's a W2K3 cluster with 2 medias.

For some reason when i try to read host properties, the time it takes compared to 6.5 is 20 to 40X longuer. 10-12 seconds on 6.5 compared to 2-4 minutes on the 7.1 server. Client versions tested were 6.5 and 7.1.

Can someone explain why this is? Is it a tuning issue or a 7.1 feature?

I presume your media servers are up & running? NB can take an age if trying to contact servers that aren't online......e.g. incorrectly decommed media servers (I know that probably won't be the case here, but thought it'd be worth a mention!)

As i said these are new servers. Nothing has been decomissioned or removed yet.

Your links points to a folder (netbackup/java) that doesn't exist on the installed NBU.
