Virtual Machines not showing up in "Browse for Virtual Machines"

Hi All,

I am running 6.5.3 and have a vcbproxy setup.  When I browse for my virtual machines then it shows me 90% of them, but there are still quite a few that aren't showing up in the list.  As far as i can tell the list uses dns entries, so I've checked them all and made sure I didn't have old dns records screwing with my list.

Anyway, I have several machines still not showing up, but when I run the following command, and scroll through the output, the missing servers show up, but they are not being carried over to netbackup...

Verify that the VCB proxy server is able successfully query the VC or ESX host(s) for the list of guest VM(s). This can be observed by the output of the following command:
InstallPath\VMWare\VMware Consolidated Backup Framework\vcbVmName -h ##ESX_or_VirtualCenter_hostname## -u <user_name> -p <password> -s any

Any ideas how I can get the list generated from this command to show up correctly in Netbackup?

Thanks

Also maybe increase the GUI Timeout value under Options in the Admin Console if you have a large list of VM's

 -Post the bpVMutil log.

-Make sure the forward and reverse DNS entries match.  Also make sure you have the reverse DNS entry.  Simply having the forward is not enough.
-Vmtools installed on VM's?

Thanks for the replies guys.   making sure my reverse dns is setup and setting up my host file for everything else should take care of most of my problems.  But, it looks like 6.5.4 is going to be the most help.
