Hi all,
Veritas recommends that you exclude directories for the scanner virus. See the General recommendations for virus scanner exclusions working with NetBackup.
How to protect MSDP pool from a virus? How to make a reliable Netbackup Catalog backup, after which to have the confidence of recovery?
Thanks in advance for answer

Antivirus software is actually a threat to MSDP - it may delete database bin files and corrupt the MSDP images.

Making Netbackup sure is not only antivirus scanning, is also a question about behaviour.
E.g. Not downloading and executing code from random locations, ensure security patches are installed, no open shares etc etc.
But please do configure a MSDP catalog backup - it's highly recommended.
