Vmware Backup License in Netbackup 7.1 Ent license server

Hi 

we have to backup vm ESX host  to datadomain over ethernet so will it support vm ware agent to do the same ?

also we have almost 80 ESX hosts are there and each ESX  hosts there are 10 to 15 VM are there so if i want to implement Vsphere backup in netbackup 

do we need to Buy the license for 80 ESX hosts ?

Please help me out above query ?

The vSphere backup will have to go via a VMWare Backup host - which is currently a Windows Client (people generally use a Media Server) and this will then pass the data to the DD appliance

If you have 80 ESX Servers then you will need 80 Enterprise Client Licenses

You may also want a Database and Application pack for any ESX Servers that have a host (or hosts) performing application backups (SQL / Exchange etc.)

It may be that with that many Enterprise Clients required you may have a case for capacity conversion for your licensing
