Hi,
Our master server and media server are running on Solaris10 and we are at NB7.5.0.5, Are we able to use our Solaris media server as Vmware backup host?

Unfortunately not... Only Windows, SLES and RHEL backup hosts are supported.

and also Do remember SLES and RHEL do not support Multipathing if you are looking for SAN transport method. only Windows backup host is supported.

SYMC NETBACKUP ENTERPRISE CLIENT 7.5 is the one that you require to take VMware backups..
not specifically forVMware backup host..
