Yes possible .....but depend on how you configured policy !!

Are this 50 client configured with separate policy or multiple client in few policy ?

root@womble admincmd $ bppllist womble_robot_0 -L |grep -i "volume pool"
Volume Pool:       NetBackup

bpplinfo  womble_robot_0 -modify -pool CatlogBackup

root@womble admincmd $ bpplinfo womble_robot_0 -modify -pool CatlogBackup

root@womble admincmd $ bppllist womble_robot_0 -L |grep -i "volume pool"
Volume Pool:       CatlogBackup

It works ...

what you've got & what you want to see following changes to VPs then we *may* be able to suggest something a bit more specific?

Want to change the volume pool of more then 50 clients . They were in same as well as a different policies.

Please suggest how it will happen in a single instance . is there any script for this??

In short .... no. You'd need to script it yourself & it would depend on what your current situation is & what result you want.

Unfortunately saying that you've over 50 clients in the same & different policies that need changing does not really clarify, sorry.

Additionally, as you can obviously only change the volume pool at policy or schedule level, then you will hit issues if you have more than one client in a policy & they need to use different volume pools.

you cannot change Volume Pool for existing images?

However you implement the change if you want old images in the new Pool you'd have to duplicate them.

@ Andy sir "50 clients in the same & different policies that

may be few client with separate policy & few policies with multiple clients

@ wannawin

volume pool change | 50 clients | multiple policies | may be schedule override | scripting... | etc.....

considering myself at your place then i will do by GUI ---- 15 - 20 Clients everyday

I agree with Bill:

you cannot change Volume Pool for existing images ..... you'd have to duplicate them.

You can change pool in Policy attributes or in Schedules for future backups.

PS: while you are online - PLEASE give feedback on all your unresolved forum posts?

Are we looking at images already 'produced' or potential images?

Must admit I am looking at this from a current config perspective with regards to policies/schedules as opposed to any images that are already on media.
