Has anybody found documentation on deciphering what each of these elements represent?

You probable won't find any documentation on this information.

The are identifiers for VMware objects, you have successfully guessed a few of them.  Is there one in particular you had a question about?  Why are you interested in what it means?

Most of them can be identified by using the Browse for Virtual Machine option when configuring a policy.

Suspect it comes straight out of the sql database.
