What does the status MPX ,reflects in the available media

Hi I m new to this veritas netback and to his forum also.I m getting first hand experience with veritas 5.1 mp3 with storagetek L40.

My query is what the available media commands diplays status such as MPX , MPX/FULL and only FULL

These can also be seen in the NB GUI under media.

Full MPX = multiplexed save data & the tape is full.

MPX = multiplexed save data & tape is not full. (or Active MPX)

Full = non-multiplexed save data & the tape is full.

Active = non-multiplexed save data & the tape is not full.

Media multiplexing: this attribute specifies the number of jobs from a schedule that can be saved onto any one drive/tape. Concurrent backup jobs from one or several clients are sent to a single drive/tape.

Can also show FROZEN & SUSPENDED media.
