That's an open ended question. It can be implemented at your choice. Just ensure your hardware is supported and off you go!!

Everything you need to know:

NetBackup 7.5 Documentation

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=DOC5138

Look at the Release Notes document and the section :

  • About NetBackup 7.5 new features

Thanks for all your reply here.

I have been working on Netbackup since 3 yrs , recently got one server upgraded to 7.5 at my env.

since it is very small env , so no need of any specific improvements.

asked for your help here to know what are the things that can be looked after to implement the feature of 7.5.

I know reading the admin guide can provide the feature but will not give me the exact situation to implement it.

Can anyone describe in which situation the new 7.5 feature can be implemented form your experience not from the Admin Guide.

No problem. Would suggest installing 7.5 (with patches to 7.5.0.6) as this is supported. Any issues and they will be looked at by support and engineering. Also 7.5.0.6 has more patches and more functionality in the event your backup environment grows.

Just ensure you plan the environment to take into account any future growth going forward. Good luck
