What kind of excludes can be defined for a job type UBAK

I can't question the user's decision to backup Oracle items with a standard policy - it's not my decision...

What I wanted to know is what kind of excludes can be defined for a job type UBAK, and the answer seems to be: none.

I have replied the following in that discussion:

As per this TN: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.TECH157529
you are correct. exclude_list won't work.

The only other option is to use wilcards in the file list to ensure only required files are backed up.

PS: 
I am still curious to know if file-level backup of control files outside of rman will be any good when restored...
