What's the file structure when CIF share used as Basic Disk Storage?

I'm interested in what the directory structure looks like when NetBackup stores its backups on a CIF share.

Is it a directory tree based on the job or is each job in some form of backup archive file (like Windows Backup used to do)?

Can someone enlight me?

They would get "updated" when they expire. If you put the retention to infinity then they would be left in peace for ever.

No subdirectories, just a bunch of .img and .info files.

Thanks,

A quick follow-up, once backup job is complete these don't get updated ?

i.e. would be okay on WORM drive (write once read many times).

WORM disk is not a good idea and I doubt if it is supported as DSU. NBU needs constant access and writes more than one file for each backup. Adding more than file will probably not be possible, and more than one backup cannot be written to WORM disk. NBU also needs to delete image files on disk when they expire. You will end up with orphaned disk images.
