When I go to browse all the backups available for a restore, I am not able to find all date backup.

When I go to browse all the backups available for a restore, I am not able to find all date backup listed in restore windows.Is there any way i can import the tape for restore.

first check the directory/folder for the client images following either the UNIX or windows path and look for possible "name" differences for the client. for example:
clientname and/or clientname.FQDN
 
 
/usr/openv/netbackup/db/images/$CLIENTNAME or clientname.FQDN
$INSTALL_DIR\NetBackup\db\images\$CLIENTNAME or clientname.FQDN

We have netbackup 5.0 installed in win2000.I have checked the folder and find only one file named as altpath.

 

 

How I can import the tape which is not listed in restore list?

It sounds like you may have a botched attempt to relocate the catalog. Read the admin guide section titled,

"Moving the NetBackup Image Catalog"
