Windows 2012R2 Master / 5240 Appliance Media / Windows 2012R2 Client - NBU 8.1.1

I have a Windows client with a D drive containing a directory appdir.  This directory contains many files with 'log' in the name, these are distributed throughout many subdirectories on the drive.  I want to backup the drive and exclude all files with 'log' in the name.  These could be log.txt, xxx.log.txt, xxx.log.yyy.txt etc.

I cannot see how to do this - is it possible ?

Thanks,

AJ

Thanks for that - but I still don't see how I can do this.......

I have files for exclusion as follows:

d:\appdir\dir1\abclog.txt

d:\appdir\dir2\log.txt

d:\appdir\dir3\dir4\xxxlog.txt

d:\appdir\xxxlogyyy.txt

I want to be able to say backup everything in d:\appdir and sub-directories except any file which contains 'log'.

AJ.

You could use wildcards in the exclusion, for example: *log* (asterisks included).

Already tried that - no joy......

That's strange because it should be working.
If it's not then you should open a support case.
