Windows backup getting code 69 invalid filelist specification

Hi,

 

We have a backup that is consistanly getting a code 69 invalid filelist specification . (incrementals, accelerated fulls and fulls) the vssadmin command shows no errors

 

Unable to backup System State or Shadow Copy. Please check the state of VSS and associated Writers.

 

I have attached logs to this thread and the vssadmin writers command results.

 

Windows 2003 sp2

Netbackup Client level 7.6.0.3

Fyi – media server size is 56TB

You need to set the startup type for the Volume Shadow Copy Service to Manual.

 

Run - services.msc (enter)

Double-click on the Volume Shadow Copy Service and change the startup type to Manual.

Reboot the server.

Alternatively also try to backup using NTbackup and see if it is successful.... I am certain that it would fail as well ..

Hello, Rizwan, nbutech..Thanks for the replies I appreciate them.

 

Rizwan, I did as you instructed and the Server was rebooted. The backup is completing successfully.

nubtech, beforehand someone did try to run the NTbackup and it did fail.
