if you are looking to bring the Netbackup Java console form your  windows desktop for the unix Master

Netbackup java console is the one that would help you..

downlaod the netbackup java setup equal to Netbackup master versios for windows and install it on Windows.

once that is done you can provide the Master server name in the java console luanch  Provide user name and passwd of the Master server and get it.

it also requrie port communication between the Windows desktop and the Master server along with the java authenication by auth.conf

check the below tech note

You can use the Java Console to manage/connect to NBU master server.

This is part of the normal Windows installation files.

If you do not have a set of dvd's, you can download the Windows binaries from https://fileconnect.symantec.com/

You will need the serial # on your license key certificate (M..... ).
There are 2 files that need to be joined.
Download the README as well for instruction to join the 2 files to a single zip file.

Once you have extracted the zip file, navigate to the correct installation files. For example - 64-bit can be found in Addons\x64\JavaInstallFiles.

After installing the software, find Java the patch that corresponds with the patch level on the master server.
All patches can be found here:
Master Download List : http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH65429

So, if your master server is on NBU 7.1.0.4, you can find these patches here:

7.1.0.4 - Released 2012-MAR-28

List of NetBackup 7.1.0.4 Maintenance update links:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH181132

Find the Java patch for your platform under the  Java Administration Console heading.

See these forum discussions:

PS:

If your Linux master is not on DNS, add hosts entry for your master server on XP desktop/laptop.
You can then use the master server hostname to login as root on the Java console.
Don't use IP address to login, as certain admin funcions will not work correctly when using IP address.
