adding AIX 6.1 as client in policy

Hello everyone,

we are using Netbackup 6.0 on Solaris(i'm not sure which version,but i guess it;s 5.x)

i want to add Aix 6.1 running on IBM P550 as a client in a policy. what parameters should i give in bpplclient command..????

and another thing, on that client there is GPFS cluster running. i want  to take backup of one of it's GPFS shares....can i do that and if yes how....????

AIX 6.1 Client support was added @ 6.5.2.  You need to upgrade your master/media servers to at least that level in order for the Client to be Suppported.

GPFS is not listed in the compatiblity list for File Systems for 6.x

AIX 6.1 Client support was added @ 6.5.2.  You need to upgrade your master/media servers to at least that level in order for the Client to be Suppported.

so can i upgrade my server to 6.5.x with this 6.0 license or a new license would be required..???
and can SL500 tape library be used with IBM p52A..????

Although you can upgrade with existing license keys(Yes, you can), it is better to request new keys for new version because keys for older version does not compatible with new features.
SL500 is also supported on 6.5.

Please bear in mind that both 6.0 and 6.5 will be EOL'ed later this year.

Best to request your 7.1 license keys and upgrade to that version.
