backup policy

Hello friends;

We have a requirement in which we need to backup a filestore (file system that contains many files) which is vault of an enterprise application.

we want a good approach to balance the total backup and restore time for a given week with minimun data lost (2-hour) for example:

full backups weekly, cumulative incremental backups daily, and differential incremental backups every 2-hour

is it a good aproach? please share me your idea and experience ..

Hi @JFK1963 

In my opinion you need other tools than backup to solve RPO <= 2 hours. Since archive destination tends to grow very large, restore time will quickly become a problem, therefor Enterprise Vault repository should be located on devices where the content is protected by itself. I haven't check, but Enterprise Vault likley have ready to use connectors for just that.
