Reduce size of NBDB

Hi.We need to upgrade our version of Netbackup, but in order to do so need to backup our NBDB.Currently the NBDB is using 90% of the space on our physical drives.  How do we reduce the size of the NBDB?(any help appreciated, relative noob!)
