bmrstadm appcrash and Netbackup stopped working during SRT creation for windows server

Hi All,

We are performing restore of BIS server. As part of SRT creation, after installing netbackup client and patch, we were trying to add WinPE drivers to the SRT. After copying the nic folder, on clicking the Explore SRT button, it is showing the error message of bmrstadm appcrash and "NetBackup has stopped working". This issue is not reproducing. Can anyone of you please let me know what mighte be the reason for this?

Thanks in advance

1) Can I ask again - why do believe that you need to add WinPE drivers?

5) Windows 2012, or Windows 2012 R2?

6) And what are these WinPE drivers?  What exactly are they, and what is their supposed purpose?

7) What version of NetBackup is on the NetBackup BMR Boot Server and NetBackup BMR Client?

.

The version of WinPE that is embedded within newly created SRTs varies across different versions of NetBackup:

1) Why are you trying to add WinPE drivers?

2) OS version of client you are attempting to recover?

3) OS of BMR Boot Server?

4) Try capturing the bmrsrtadm logs:

vxlogcfg -l -p 51216 -o 125
vxlogcfg -a -p 51216 -o 125 -s DiagnosticLevel=6 -s DebugLevel=6
vxlogcfg -l -p 51216 -o 125

...then try your bmrsrtadm process again...
...the view log for previous ten minutes (or adjust as necessary) with...

vxlogview -p 51216 -o 125 -t 00:10:00
