You mentioned that you moved from server A to server B and then performed the catalog recovery.

1 quick question is when you installed NBU on server B did you install it as DR master server or just a plain Master server.

If you installed it just as a plain master server then you need to go through extra steps outlined in the below article

https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000125933

If you installed it as a DR master server then the certificates and identities would get imported correctly without any extra steps required.

Some strange errors/messages in bptestbpcd output...

.... there was no inherited hint, the connected peer was not a master server, so defaulted to primary master

Unable to perform peer host name validation.

Please show us output of 'bpclntcmd -self' on the master.

Log files that you need to look at :

For status 37 - bprd log on the master.
(NBU needs to be restarted after creating the folder)

Connectivity issue between master and client :
bpcd log on the client (not vnetd)

Please copy/rename logs to .txt files before uploading.
(.log files need to be downloaded on a desktop first. .txt files can be viewed online)

One more thing:

Check if insecure communication with NetBackup 8.0 and earlier hosts is enabled on the master server.

https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/doc/15179611-130506750-0/v127787082-130506750

C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin>bpclntcmd -self
gethostname() returned: nbu811
host nbu811: nbu811 at ::1
host nbu811: nbu811 at 192.168.80.194
aliases: nbu811 ::1 192.168.80.194
getfqdn: No such file or directory

C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin\admincmd>nbseccmd -getsecurityconfig -insecurecommunication
Setting for "Enable insecure communication with NetBackup 8.0 and earlier hosts" : on

bpcd&bprd log as attachment file

i found somethine

LoginWithCertManager::getToken: Exception encountered, status code: 5930

anybody have idea?

C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin>nbcertcmd -getCertificate
Host certificate and certificate revocation list already exist for master server [nbu811]

C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin>nbcertcmd -getCACertificate
CA certificate stored successfully from server nbu811.

C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin>nbcertcmd -renewCertificate

nbcertcmd: The -renewCertificate operation failed.
EXIT STATUS 5930: The request could not be authorized.
