bptm, oprd procesess getting stuck

I'm new here so big hello to everybody.. :)

I would like to ask you for help regarding issue that we experiencing with netbackup 5.1MP5 running on media server windows 2003 (x86), several windows clients are failing ( system state,  random partition ) with status 227/228 in 2nd attemp mostly after status 13 (1st attempt). I noticed that netbackup processes bptm, oprd are getting stuck , for example I can see many old even if nothing is running at the moment , i tried with reboot but problem still exist.

any idea?

I'd suggest to upgrade your system to something supported. NBU 5.1 is EOLed almost two years already.

Also check tape and/or hba drivers. These stuck processes says to me that there's a comms problem between OS and hardware. Only when release happens at this level will NBU be notified to release as well.

Check Event Viewer System and Application log for errors.

About status 13 - check for updated NIC drivers.
