Hello Experts,

We use vault for duplicaing data from diskpool to tape library.

By default retention for duplicated data remains as that of original data.

Please educate on me how can we change retention only on duplicated data ?

Thanks,

Bharath

First of all, change the retention level of future duplications.

In Vault Profile properties, change it in the Duplication tab.

To change expiration of images already duplicated, you need to find Media Id's or Image Id's.

use Catalog section of the NBU GUI.

The default search is for Primary Copy. Search of Copy 2 within a date range. Results will contain Image Id's as well as Media Id's.  Save output.

Use bpexpdate from cmd to change expiration dates.
You can either use -m <media-id> to change all images on disk, or -backupid <backup id> to change expiration date.
