clarification about storagetek robot

I am novice in the domaine storage SAN

i would like  know some reponse about some terme in SAN storage.

what'is mean robot,tape,library  ?

for information i am juste new  storage administrator in our company

we use storagetek Sl 500 and netbackup 7.5

I will be glad if there are any url or book explain mes request.

I am confused. How did you manage to get a job as Storage Administrator without any storage background / knowledge / training? If you are at a site with STK robot, go see how it works. Look on Oracle web site for user guides.
