Hi experts

we all know bptm , bpbrm, bpdm logs are created on media server if directory is present. there are about 500 clients backup running in about 128 policies. they start around 7pm to 9:30 pm. Question : Is there a method to have client specific logs or policy specific logs on media server or master server.

e.g on media server

bpbrm.policy_name or bpdm.clientname

As per my Knowledge NO..Netbackup just have the logs for the Process level...

in the Unified logs.. we can use Vxlogview with the job id to see the logs for the specific job.. but its just for unified logs not for the legesy logs...

.However we can use the GUI Admin console--->Reports to get the client specific logs..

As per above post, one log per process. Each job will have a child process with unique PID which can be found in job details. You can then find the PID in the log in square brackets [ ### ] after the timestamp. With a 'clever' text editor like Texpad you can highlight/extract the unique PID for the job.
