creating netbackup policy using cofc with NBU7.6

can you plz help with creating the backup policy using cofc with NBU7.6,

i  have created the storage server , my windows is master server and hpux is the media server.

created the policy but unable to trigger the manual backup.

Also you say you are 'unable to trigger the manual backup' - is it failing with error or failing to run?

I am sure an attempt to kick off manually would display a message saying that you don't have any schedules defined.

You have not defined any schedules.

NBU needs a schedule to know type of backup - Full, Incr, User, etc and what the retention must be.

PLEASE read up in NetBackup Administrator's Guide, Volume I   about all the components that make up a policy.

PS:
How is catalyst over fibre channel related to NBU?? And how do you use it to create a backup policy in NBU?

Thank you for the solution, it did work when i defined the schedules.

iam testing with fibre channel connectivity also with storeonce catalyst as my protocol.

i have performed by backup, i want to do restore operation .

my master server is windows, my media server is HPUX

i want to restore in HPUX host. i have selected the icon backup,archive and restore

but iam not able to retrieve any information , to restore

how do i perform the restore operation
