dbsrv12 process consuming memory

NBU35
Level 6

We have a windows media server in our setup. It is a physical host, which is also acting as a Backup host and Opscenter server. A process dbsrv12 is running on it and consuming lots of memory (around 6 GB). No SEPM is installed on this server. As antivirus Trendmicro is in use. I am not sure why process dbsrv12 is running on media server (this process does not run on UNIX media servers and ideally should run only on master server) and why is it consuming this much memory. details as followed:

Windows 2008 R2

NBU 7.6.0.3

Media server/ OpsCenter Server/ Physical Backup Host.

The dbsrv12 is for Opscenter.

I would recommend moving Opscenter to its own server.

Quite normal - it is the OpsCenter database.

Just like the EMM database on a NBU master - they are both Sybase ASA databases.

Indeed. Move the opscenter to a dedicated server or make this server dedicated to Opscenter only. Do you defrag the database regularly?
