Hi all,
Made a boneheaded move today. I'm clearing up MSDP pools out of my environment as I now point all images directly to tape. However, there was one site that still had a basic disk storage unit that was in use.
Well, I deleted that on the master. The storage unit is still attached to the media server in question, still has all the data, I just need to reverse my bone-headed move.. What's the easiest way to go about this?
All servers are on Windows server 2008.

The name of the STU can still be seen in the policies using this STU, right?
Simply create the STU again with the same name and specify the path to the STU.
If you had staging configured, just add a staging schedule.

Experience is a hard price to pay (why do you think I knew how to fix it? )
But this experience means we can help others!

Some sort of constraint violation would be nice if trying delete STU's that are still assigned !
Again experience talking
