See NetBackup Commands Reference Guide:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC5182 for detailed description of the 2 commands.

bpimagelist will list information about the backup (header information).

bplist will list individual file names and folders.

Have you tried these 2 commands? e.g:

bplist -C <client-name> -s <start-date> -e <end-date> -l -R /

bpimagelist -client <client-name> -d <start-date> -e <end-date> -U
or

bpimagelist -client <client-name> -d <start-date> -e <end-date> -L

Date format is mm/dd/yyyy

bpimagelist does not show compressed size.
