What does the HP-UX syslog say - are there messages from acsd ?

What does the ACSLS server say in /export/home/ACSSS/log/acsss_event.log ?

HPUX syslog:

May  3 11:00:34 saprd avrd[1077]: Reservation Conflict status from IBM.ULTRIUM-TD3.002 (device 1)
May  3 11:00:34 saprd avrd[1077]: Reservation Conflict status from IBM.ULTRIUM-TD3.003 (device 2)

the ACSLS log doesn't show any problems...

Are tape drives shared with other media servers? Correctly configured as Shared in NBU?

Have you disabled SCSI Reservation at OS level on HP-UX?

See About SPC-2 SCSI reserve on HP-UX in chapter 3 of NBU Device Config Guide

Media sharing is not relevant here. Tape drive sharing is.

Output is missing from vmoprcmd - there should be some drive info also.
