Hi,

I am getting the below error while bpduplciate runs -

06/12/2016 14:30:21 - Error bpduplicate (pid=24492) Could not lock backupid: 10.10.10.10_1465654606, copy 2; duplicate of image in progress
06/12/2016 14:30:21 - Error bpduplicate (pid=24492) Duplicate of backupid 10.10.10.10_1465654606 failed, failed accessing daemon lock file (158).

This is what error code 158 says as per NBU -

The process cannot lock its lock file because an error was received from a system call. This lock file synchronizes process activities (for example, it prevents more than one daemon from running at a time).

Can you please help me with what is this lock file and how it is being used by different processes?

Why this error suddenly occured?

From Status Code reference guide:

failed accessing daemon lock file
The process cannot lock its lock file because an error was received from a system call. This lock file synchronizes process activities (for example, it prevents more than one daemon from running at a time).

Do the following, as appropriate:
* Examine the NetBackup error log to determine why the system call failed. Then correct the problem. It may be a permission problem.
* If the error log does not show the error, create a debug log directory for bprd or bpdbm (depending on which process encountered the error). Use the vxlogcfg command to increase the unified logging level if nbpem, nbjm, or nbrb encountered the error. Retry the operation and examine the resulting debug log.
