nothing found in logs.
Really?
Which logs did you check?
Logs that I would look at:
Media server: bptm and bpbrm
Client: bpbkar

More detail please...
1) Master O/S and patch version, and NetBackup Server version?
2) Media O/S and patch version, and NetBackup Server version?
3) Client O/S and patch version, and NetBackup Client version?
4) Is client physical or VM?
5) Have client backups ever worked?
6) Description of policy? Type? Schedule? Selection list?
7) Target storage unit type, and if disk then the model and version too please?
8) The activity monitor job log please?

/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/dbclient
04-22-2015 03:13 AM
/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/dbclient
This log will only help for a database backup.
You said that backup for a particular filesystem failed?
Filesystem backups are done by bpbkar process on the client, data is received by bptm on the media server, and comms and catalog updates managed by bpbrm on the media server.
So, all of these logs along with info in Details tab are needed in order to troubleshoot.
Please provide info requested by sdo as well.

where can i find the logs file in client machine

It depends upon where the NetBackup Client was installed to, but the default locations are:
/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bpbkar
C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\logs\bpbkar

Remember that log folders must be created - they do not exist by default.
