Would like also to seek assistance in error encountered from two new notes server backup, please see logs below.

We encounter the error on 2 lotus notes server when we change the policy type from windows to lotus notes.

Hi Jjimenez2,

Rather than changing an existing MS-Windows to Lotus Notes, you would be much better off creating a new Lotus Notes policy from scratch.  Do this in conjunction with going through the NetBackup for Lotus Notes Administrator's Guide: (https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/doc/ka6j0000000BPy5AAG)

Just changing the policy type means you may be missing required settings and pre-requisites that will be detailed in the admin guide.  Looking at your errors, in the job detail we see a status code 103 and in the Admin log we see ErrorCode: 0x1A5.  A quick Google search of ErrorCode: 0x1A5 shows these two links:

Both are to do with a restore of Lotus Notes (not a backup), but we see the same two errors you have.  In both of these cases, the issue is the NotesIniPath has not been configured correctly.  Your Admin log also shows the message "EXIT STATUS 103: error occurred during initialization, check configuration file".

As you have changed an existing policy fom MS-Windows to Lotus Notes, I highly suspect that is why the NotesIniPath has not been configured (as this setting does not exist in an MS-Windows policy).  This is a good example of why it is important when setting up a new type of backup to create the policy from scratch (or at least use the policy wizard), and follow the prerequisites and admin guide.

Hi,

Want to know why on other lotus notes server running on windows server 2012 is okay. Only on 2 lotus notes server running on windows server 2016 we encounter this error. I double check the compatibility list and the windows server 2016 is supported OS for nbu 7.7.3

You need to double-check this particular policy to ensure it is correct.
